Started the year in Europe, through Italy, Switzerland and UK, with my best friend and the woman I love - Gena ❤️

Xylie was waiting for us, back home at daycare...

I repaired my bass guitar with single coil pickups, that required a Faraday cage to quash the hum and buzz while recording.

Celebrated the birthday anniversary of the Romanian beloved poet Mihai Eminescu with another episode of my podcast "Acoustic Prosodies with Nelu Lazar".

Recorded the first concept song with my rock band project The Rèmmotes.

On this day, my friend Joe Peter's song "Love Lives On" - (for which I recorded the vocals and cobza, collaborated on the arrangement, mixed the tracks, named the collaborative band, and designed the album's artwork) - was the top listened song of Joedai Trobairitz & Troubadours artist on Spotify.

My son got an award, with distinction, at a solo saxophone competition.

I recorded the video in which I was announcing the reunion of my progressive band, after 24 years...

Offered a teaser of my upcoming poetry book...

Designed the cover of my upcoming book "din vremuri de departe, din vremuri de demult", and started planning the book launch tour...

Recorded the guitar for all 14 songs from my upcoming album - the folk opera "din vremuri de departe, din vremuri de demult" ("of times from afar, of times from ages")...

...and have also recorded the vocals for all 14 songs...

Gena joined in and recorded her vocals for the upcoming album - the folk opera "din vremuri de departe, din vremuri de demult" ("of times from afar, of times from ages")...

Dear friends from ROCO Chicago hosted my soft-launch of the folk opera album "din vremuri de departe, din vremuri de demult" - just before the launch of my book and concert tour in Romania and Republic of Moldova.

Writer Alexandru Uiuiu penciled the preface of Nelu Lazar's book and presented along with Nelu literary anecdotes at the beginning of the folk music and book launch show in Bistrița.

Alexandru Uiuiu is PhD of "Babeş-Bolyai" University from Cluj-Napoca, author of the books "Socrate poetul", "Țara ascunsă", "Datoria de om" etc.

Attended the Jesus Christ Superstar production, part of the 50-year anniversary US tour, at Purdue Convocations' Elliott Hall of Music.

The same day, I started to translate the entire rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar into Romanian language, prosodically, so it can be produced as a show in Romanian. Stay tuned - follow Nehloo Performances.

Listened to a stunning collection of Moldavian/Romanian songs and jazzy performed by Ana Everling, Edinho Gerber, Kenny Reichert, and Hunter Diamond at Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago - loved how the instruments band members harmoniously blended into the fondness and emotions of doinas and balkanic tunes and sounds, as if they all grew up in that part of the world and were accustomed to those beautiful songs since forever. 🎵
